Cardiology Associates Research FAQs
Research has always been an important part of medicine. The clinical research program at Cardiology Associates allows our physicians to make available new devices or promising new drug therapies and treatments to our patients that are not available to patients without participation in a research study.
Our physicians and staff are dedicated to providing all of our patients with the best cardiovascular care available. Our research staff will provide services and follow your care throughout the duration of a study. By participating in research you will be observed closely for any improvements and/or problems. If any problems occur that are not research related, we can assist in directing you to someone who will be able to help if you have any problems.
In order to participate in one of any of our research studies, you will have to come to the Tupelo office for any research study related visits.
Our research team will gladly help in directing you to the person that can help you best. When you are having medical problems not related to the research study, need other medication refilled by your doctor, or have insurance/billing questions, you will need to call our office at 662-620-6800 or 866-620-6800 and your call will be directed to the appropriate person.
Most items needed by the research study are provided at no cost to you or your insurance, including your follow-up visits. Additionally, the research studies may offer medications/treatments through the study oat no cost to you or your insurance. Any aspect of the study that might be billable to you or your insurance will be indicated in your consent form. Any services provided during your participation that are not research related will be billed to you or your insurance, again this will be discussed in your consent form.
When possible we will schedule your regular follow-up appointment at the same time as your scheduled visit with your cardiologist/nurse practitioner. Sometimes these visits can take some time to get all tests/procedures completed. It should also be understood because of the study design we will not always be able to complete these visits on the same day.
Please call our office at 662-620-6800 or 866-620-6800 and your call will be directed to someone in the research department.

What People Are Saying About Us?
Praesent egestas luctus erat, sed congue felis aliquet sit amet. Duis ultricies, lectus vitae tristique convallis, orci velit feugiat nisi, sit amet scelerisque.
I was very impressed with the quickness with how fast we were taken back. They have an onsight pace clinic. The Dr. Was very efficient. Set up follow up visits in my home town.
I am very anxious about anything "heart." I called to make an appointment and talked to Peggy. She was patient with my anxiety. She knew all the answers and put me at ease despite my obvious reluctance. I have talked with one other staff member and got the same care and reassurance. This sends a message to me that whole office is in order, they are on top of their game, and I'm not just another number. I have friends, family, and employees who are counting on me to take care of my health and I am in the right place.
